Help

Short answers for everyday work in Powroli.

First steps

From an empty account to the first client in a few minutes.

  1. Create a gallery with “New gallery” and drag the photos in.
  2. Open Settings in the gallery: password, downloads, favourites.
  3. Publish it and send the link from “Send to client”, or copy it.
  4. Publish your site in the Site section and turn on payments in Shop → Payments when you want to sell.

Uploading photos and folders

Originals are kept in full size; web versions are made automatically.

  1. Drag photos or whole folders onto the gallery page; subfolders become gallery folders.
  2. JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and TIFF up to 200 MB, MP4/MOV video up to 4 GB.
  3. Uploads keep going in the background; the browser tab shows the progress.
  4. Deleted photos go to the trash for 30 days and can be restored.

Sharing a gallery

One link for the client, with or without a password.

  1. New client galleries get a password automatically; change or remove it in Settings.
  2. “Send to client” emails the link (and the password if you wish) from Powroli in your name.
  3. Statistics show when the client opened the gallery and what they downloaded.
  4. Hidden folders are opened only by their own link; a QR card can be printed from Actions.

Favourites and selection

Clients mark photos; you get the list for Lightroom or Capture One.

  1. Turn on favourites in the gallery settings.
  2. The client marks photos and sends the list; it appears in the Favourites tab.
  3. Copy file names for Lightroom or Capture One, or download a CSV.
  4. A package (e.g. 30 photos included, extras paid) is set in Settings → Selection.

Downloads and sizes

Clients download single photos, folders or everything as a ZIP.

  1. Turn downloads on or off per gallery.
  2. Visitors choose Original, Large or For social media.
  3. With a watermark on, downloads are off and only watermarked photos are shown.
  4. A gallery can close on a date and be extended by the client for a fee.

Selling photos and prints

Payments go straight to your own Stripe account.

  1. Shop → Payments: connect Stripe (a few minutes, done on Stripe’s site).
  2. Shop → Prices: set prices for digital files and your print formats.
  3. Turn on selling in a gallery’s settings; clients buy from the photo view.
  4. Orders appear in Shop → Orders; orders paid in cash can be added by hand.

Prints: your own or the lab

Print yourself for the lowest price, or let the lab make and ship them.

  1. Your own formats: you print (e.g. at your usual lab) and send or hand over; clients may collect in person.
  2. Mark an order as sent with a tracking number — the client gets a letter.
  3. Lab prints (Prodigi) are made and shipped within the EU; their cost is taken from the payment.
  4. Clients can see a print on a wall at its real size before buying.

Your site

A portfolio with prices, reviews, a blog and a booking form.

  1. Site → Pages: add pages from templates; drag blocks from the catalogue into the preview.
  2. Edit texts in every language of the site; Writing help can translate and describe photos.
  3. Publish when ready; the address is powroli.eu/your-name.
  4. Requests from the booking form arrive in Requests (and Telegram, if connected).

Your own domain

www.your-name.com instead of powroli.eu/your-name.

  1. Site → Settings → Own domain: type the domain (Pro and Studio).
  2. At your registrar add a CNAME record: www → customers.powroli.eu.
  3. For the domain without www, forward it to www at the registrar.
  4. The certificate is issued automatically; email on the domain comes from any mail service.

Plans and payment

Free, Pro and Studio; prices in your currency.

  1. Every new account has 14 days of Pro.
  2. Plan and payment: choose monthly or yearly (20% cheaper).
  3. Card, invoices and cancelling are in “Payments, card and invoices”.
  4. Invite photographers with your link: you both get a month free.

Moving from another service

Bring existing galleries with you.

  1. wfolio: Projects → Import, paste the client link of a gallery (downloads on, no password).
  2. Pixieset, Pic-Time and others: download the gallery as a ZIP, unzip it, drag the folder onto a new gallery.
  3. Folders are kept; photos keep their full size.
  4. Large galleries copy in the background; you can close the window.

Lightroom and Capture One

Publish straight from your editing program.

  1. Account → Lightroom: download the plugin and create a token.
  2. Lightroom Classic: add the plugin in the Plug-in Manager and set up the Powroli publish service.
  3. Capture One: download Powroli Upload and choose it in a Process Recipe as “Open With”.
  4. Each published collection becomes a gallery; new versions replace old ones.
